that sucks. yeah i've dropped mine twice now.... once when i first got but it just toppled over into grass, second time i got a little carried away rolling out of my driveway backwards... as it turns out, braking while going backwards and turning can be kind of tricky.
I think my center stand is bent, i can't get it up without putting the back wheel on a board and even then it sits a little crooked. but I'm pretty sure my bike has seen a wreck or two in its time as it has some road rashes in places it really shouldn't.

I have a Suomy Spec-1R, very comfortable, but slightly noisy as it's a race helmet. I have a Shoei RF900 that's nice, but when I tried the RF1000, it just didn't fit my head as well as the Suomy.

I don't know, I'm pretty happy with my 450... I just refuse to get a bike that doesn't get better mpg than my wife's civic. But I also want it to be as fast as the GSR.

most all bikes will get better mileage than your civic. I think most 1000's get between 30 and 40 mpg. Hayabusas and zx12rs will push down to mid 20's but that's different.
