What is a suitable replacement? Is the OE battery manufactured by Honda or someone else?

Pretty straightforward. Get the most CCA (cold cranking amps) you feel like paying for, that fits into the space.

For maximum longevity, buy a FRESH battery. Sams Club/Walmart puts the date right on the front. Others use a code, ask the dealer to give you the key to the dates.

The OE battery is made by Panasonic (at least on Japanese-source Vs), they are good units but I'm not sure if you can buy then in the USA.
