Please Help-Problems with my Lights.
I got rear ended about a month ago, Then a deer, ran into me, while I am trying to avoid another deer infront of me. I lost control and ended up in a ditch. I had to replace my right knuckle and lower control arm. A week ago my car got inpounded and I had to pay $200 to get it out. And yesterday somebody almost stole my car. Today my boss put me on administrative leave, while they decide what to do with me, becasue I kept missing work as a result of all my car problems. And because my car was almost stolen I missed classes (including a quiz and HW turn it-no make up quizes, or late HW turn in).<sighh>>
Now, when I step on the brake pedal my front parking lights turn on. When I turn on my parking lights and even my headlights my brake lights come on, the wing light and everything. All this bad luck with my car is really getting to me
. Does anybody know what might be wrong and how I can go about to fix it? Thanks for your help.

This was happening before the breakin. I noticed that my rear brake light was out so i went to napa and got a replacement, i repaced it and it was fine. Then all of a sudden at least 1-2 weeks later this started happening. It just started out of nowhere. Could it possilby have been a pre-theft work by the theives? What can i do to fix this?
you have a serios wirring problem if live near sac i'd be willing to help you. You have current being applied after the brake switch and combo switch . the only connector that those two circuits share is c216 pin cavity 3 and 8 (underhood fuse box) if they were crossed here nothing would happin since it is the switch when turned on allows the current to travel. look at this picture this is connector c418 it is the turn signal circuit look for a grn/wht wire out of place (grn/wht is the brake circuit) between pins 15-17. hope this helps

Well i just spent an hour looking at it, and i could not find anything wrong. What i did see was a wire which were green and black (only 2) that were attached to a connector but not hooked up to anything. And i couldn't figure where it was supposed to go. Nothing seemed out of place, could the problem lie elsewhere or i must have overlooked something?
well after taking everything apart i finally figured out what was wrong. The brake light blub i recently replaced with one from NAPA was defective and was causing the problem. So the bulb came in a 2 pack for $1.99, and i replaced that bulb with the second blub and the problem went away. Weird huh?
