Default Cams?

I want to get a pair of cams for my car (GSR). What are some choices I might have? Cam Gears any specific manufacturer I should buy from?

I've seen valve springs offered with cams often, why is that? should I or do I need to change them?

Planning on getting Cams professionally adjusted, and possibly a AFC tuned. Definelty some good gains involved?

You can go with stock CTR cams (more aggresive than the ITR cams)

A few of my friends run the Stage 1 cams from Skunk2 and you do get some good increase out of it.

Valve springs are suggested cause the stock springs aren't stiff enough for the new cams. If you had the extra money and the time i'd go ahead and replace 'em with stiffer units. Not everyone does, but it's def. a good idea.

Yes with adjustable cam gears and some tuning you'll get good gains. You'll spend some $$$ but you'll get noticable return from it.

Should you replace the springs when using the itr cams or just the skunk2's?

I believe that you can use stock valvetrain with the stage 1's but not with the stage 2's. I plan on getting the stage 2's

teg_fan is right. you can use stock valve train but skunk2 recommends you upgrade it even for the stage 1's. but if you don't you can still run the stage 1's.

i'm not too familiar with the crower stuff.

as for the itr or ctr. you don't need to replace your stock cams cause those aren't as aggresive as the skunk2 units or some other aftermarket cams. but the itr does have stiffer valve springs. just depends on how in depth you are tryin' to go with this install.
