i have a 99 gsr and the only mods i have done to it is a true cold air intake and a performance muffler. i am only getting about 210 miles to the tank. i dont understand it. im wonderin if its the 2 15"s in the hatch? i have to drive 80 miles to school and back and 30 to work and back so needless to say my ass is spending about 45 week. way to damn much. what kind of mpg should i be getting and whats wrong?

how many gallons do you usually fill up with? what are your driving habits? do you hit VTEC a lot? do you tend to drive in low gears? need more info.

i get the same amount of gas mileage. if you're using the whole tank (I mean the WHOLE tank...people don't usually run it THAT low), then you're right, ur not gettin the right amount of mpg. but if you run it until u have about a quarter of a tank left, then fill it again, then u ARE gettin the amount of gas mileage that integras usually get. don't mean to rain on ur parade, but i end up spending anywhere from 40-60 dollars on gas a week as well, from work to home, from home to work, running around, etc.

When i first got my GSR i would almost never get 200 mpg. But since i have to pay for gas and gas is going up where i live than i mostly just try to shift when the manual tells u too. Just cause im a cheep person. so my advise would dont drive it like a bat outta hell alot.

13.2 gallons, actually..

as far as going below the 1/4 mark, that may have been true decades ago, but it's no longer true today. and if you don't believe me.. i always fill up at 11-12+ gallons (that is well below the 1/4 mark), and have done so since i got the car (82k miles ago), and the fuel pump is still fine.

Note that the Integra's fuel gauge is graduated to read 'E' on level ground when there is exactly 10liters (2.6gallons) remaining (its a 50liter tank). Its sort of like a reserve tank for those of you who ride bikes. You should be getting 11km/L or more (about 25mpg+) if you drive conservatively. Given that, I don't think your 210 miles is not that bad, since you're only using about 75% of the tank.

Regarding the fuel pump, its not an issue with Integra's and most modern vehicles - just remember you have about 115km=70miles to drive after the 'E' before you're _actually_ empty.
