HELP Regarding Valve Adjustment...

I had two questions actually...

1) can i do a valve adjustment on my head even though its currently not on my integra?!?!

2) if i can, what are the valve specs for the intake and exhaust valves?!?!

the reason i ask is because the guy i bought the used head from said that he recommends me doing a valve job before i install the head...so im just wondering if i can do thid with the head off my car and if so, the specs....i already have a feeler tool for the valves. you hold the nut with an open end wrench, and turn the screw with a screw driver, right?!?! not sure, its been awhile so if im wrong, please help me. thanks
