Default RS covers.

ive been hearing alot of about RS dorr handle covers...

from what ive heard they cover the automatic power door buttons?

do you need to take out the buttons and just swap covers?

where can i get it?

seems like a good investment since you can easily put a clotheshanger in the windows.

From I understand, the conversion removes the silver automatic lock switch and just leaves the plastic piece that flips out. Not sure on the tech issues..

Just installed em last week. Pretty easy to do...there is one screw on the front and then two screws to remove the silver switch from your power door lock covers. I just stuck the switch behind the new, non power door lock, cover screwed it in place and it was done.

eBay for $15

I got mine off eBay...but you can check out local junk yards for any wrecked RS's. I guess that you can consider the parts dept. at your local Acura dealership a store though!

The other thing you can do (what I'm doing) is interupt the power to that switch with a push button switch. You can even leave the push button somewhere close by so its convenient. That would pretty much prevent the auto door switch from working unless you were holding the button down A clothes hanger cant push the button and pull on the switch at the same time. Even an expert would give up trying to get it. Doesnt mean swapping anything out, but a little more involved. I'd just do it because knowing me, one day I'd regret losing the power door switch.

If you're real worried about theft though, I'd invest in a good alarm and having your glass treated with shatter resistant tint.
