Default Engine swap?

Ok this is the deal I just posted about a turbo, however I left out that my 97 ls has 123,000 miles on it!!! so I was wondering if it would be better just to put a diferent engine in, like a b20 and just forget about the turbo. any suggestions?

if it were my car. i would pull the engine and rebuild it to handle boost. then you wouldnt have to worry about the amount of miles(if it is built right).

B20's are cool, but i like things i can rev the piss out of.

You could always go up to a H-Series motor.

Take an H22 and stroke it to 2.4 liters....:naughty:

As long as you stay relatively stock, you'll never be able to forget about the turbo. One of the members on this board (DB7 2.0) is running a b20 Integra; you may want to PM him for some info.

Might encounter some understear with an engine like that w/out proper balancing though. :thumbdown:

Decent suspension components easily correct the understeer problems caused by the added weight of the h22 and the way the motor sits.

H22 = :thumbup:

my advice... engine rebuild! if the body of your car is in good shape then keep it if not sell it and try to get into less miles!

If you are going turbo I would rebuild with what you have.

or you could drop a GSR motor and supercharge it:thumbup:
