Getting lugs off

i got my car with the rims on it already, and it has those kind of lug nuts that you need the key to get them off. it's a kind of allan key or hex. but i was wondering if anybody knows of anything that fits in there good to get the lugs off. something that i could buy at the hardware store or auto parts store. i got new rims coming and i need to get these off. any help is appreciated. thanks.
This may not be the best approach and your better off listening to Will on this one, but I've heard some people who actually used a socket wrench to take it off. What they did was take a socket slightly smaller than the lug, hammered it on, so the socket forms around the lug, and loosened them off.
