Short Shifters!

ok so i feel kinda dumb for picking a short shifter up so quickley. i got an OBX short shifter for 30$... i don't know why their would be a real big differnce between skunk2, or dc but i guess there is. i can pik up a skunk2 for around 80 and a dc for around 50....should i return my obx or just say screw it and use it, quite cheap though?!

have you tried B&M? Comptech uses them for racing (i think). They're pretty good as well.

It will prolly break, my cheapo one did

i have the B&M, along with Prothane Bushings.

If anything, changing the bushings makes the biggest difference.

I've felt Skunks AND DC's without bushings, and they feel worse than stock (in my opinion of course). I've also felt stock with bushings, and they feel great.

get rid of your OBX shifter.... everyone ive known thats ever owned one, has had the shift knob break off from it :squint:

how much does B&M run for? so do all short shifters come with bushings or are they separate. im thinking up just picking up the skunk2 short shifter b/c i've heard alot of good shit from that one.

now i need headers/ cambers/ shocks....for now

get the skunk2 cant speack for everyone but when i got my b&M it rattle alot and i switch to the skunk2 and it was great and was near stock with the 2 bends.

how much of a difference does a short shifter make on a GSR?

Turbonium 05-14-2003 06:23 PM

ok im trading back the obx short shifter for a tenzo-r. no charge so thats a little better, cheaper than the rest though.
