Default confused with fitments of products like headers and cam gears

are cam gears and headers specific to each car, each engine, do thinbgs like camgears is it fits an ls will it fit all ls's? etc. like would i be able to put a jdm type -r header on my b18a?. might spound like a stupid question but i see people advertise stuff for all b series engines meaning gsr and ls then some sat its just for a b18, b16a etc. i missin somethin can some one clear this up for me

For the header the jdm one will fit since it's a B-series engine the bolt pattern is the same but the lengths and such are off which could cause a problem when installing something like that but it has been done. Cam gears should also work since the diameter of the cam shaft isn't larger the only thing that is different is the lobes on the cam.

ok so thier is a group buy going on for a 94+ apex 4-2-1 header it will fit the flanges off my motor but might run into the radiator fan, or be too low to the ground? plus it will have the bungs in it. correct

cam gears = B-series will fit all other B-series
header = they will generally fit all B-series, but the USDM ITR wont fit the LS as one of my friends found out by testing.
