Default Help! CD player error.

Hi,
I just installed an OEM cd player on my 96 integra. First, when I put a CD in it says CD 0 for a while, then the CD ejects. Then it says CD --. Now when I put in a different CD it just spins without playing. Another different CD just keeps skipping. Does anyone know how to fix this??

What type of CD are you using? CDR/RW or a copyrighted version.

They're copyrighted CDs that I bought from a store.

I'm just guessing but it might have something to do with the code for the cd player in the computer...on both my friend's civics if you disconnect the battery wire and reconnect it, it says you need the Honda code for it to work, like an anti-theft mechanism. They had to call a dealer and get it. This probably has nothing to do with your cd player though...I'm really not sure..

I think I have the right code since it turns on. But now the radio won't even work. It's static on every station. I was thinking some connection was loose, but I'm pretty sure everything was connected properly. I don't understand why this would happen.

Thanks! No I haven't tried that. What will it do? It's just weird because some CDs don't work at all and then some sort of do but skip. And then why doesn't the radio work now!!
