import from Canada Q's

Hey,
does anybody know what exactly do I need to do to import a car from Canada and how much will it be?
More specifically, from Toronto to Chicago.

i think you may have problems with the emissions of a canadian car.

What car, exactly? (Not that I'd really know the answer...)

Sometimes the Canada & the US cars are absolutely identical. Usually not. You'd have to get some kind of statement from Honda (or whoever) that says the car meets all USA rules for emmissions, lights, crashworthyness, whatever. Then you'd have to get US-DOT & US-EPA to accept that (good LUCK!)

If its not identical to the USA version, you don't even want to think about it. If its a car that's not even offered in USA, then you can buy 20 or 30 cars for crash-testing, another bunch of engines for 100,000-mile emmissions testing, etc. You can probably do it for less than, say, $20 million.
