Need lowering springs..Which ones?
Need to lower my ride 1"-1.5". Would like to retain stock ride quality and stock shocks. I am not opposed to coilovers if the ride isn't bad. I am looking at the Eibach Pro-Kit right now. Don't want to spend too much, either.....
What do you think?
Thanks!

coilovers are the way to go. But if you just want sprigs, get the H & R sports... They will lower it and still ride ok. But remember, if you keep the stock shocks you will were them out faster than normal. they were not made do lower your car.
Coilover sleeves like Ground Control use linear springrates so the ride suffers more than just a normal set of progressive lowering springs. The H&R (Sports?) are pretty popular; if you want to still use stock shocks it is possible. Comptech springs (= Eibach Pro-kit if I'm not mistaken) are designed to be used with the stock shocks. The only reason I'm not advocating the Pro-Kit is that it makes the rear of the car look lower than the front (even drop all around + smaller rear wheelwell) so a lot of people end up complaining.

I have the H&R OE sport springs with KYB GR-2 shocks. It kept close to stock ride and handles great. This setup was pretty cheap also. When I get the chance I'm going to change the shocks to some adjustable perches so I can put it a little lower.
Thanks for your input guys. I just found another set, but have never heard of them. I'm still leaning towards the Pro-Kit, but, what do you know about Gold-Line Performance Springs (2"). The writeup says:
Top Quality Gold-Line Performance Springs. Gold-Line Performance Springs features: Lowering the vehicle to 2" (depending on application) - improving car's looks and performance. Get a Touring Car look "out of the box." Does not compromise factory "ride" quality with the use of Gold-Line Spring technology. These springs utilize Gold-Line performance springs to create a more aggressive ride quality to your vehicle.
They are only $159. What do you think?
Thanks!
