Default Help! Clutch/Tranny problems...

Something is definantly wrong with my car. When the car is off I could put it into gear easy but sometime when turning on the car and trying to put the car in any gear it won't even go in! I know it not my tranny fluid because I just recently changed it. Also when I could drive the car, it very hard for me to shift it into gear..it like I have to use my force to shift it into gear n no it don't grind so it not the synchro. Also I put the car in fifth gear and smash on the gas and the rpm didn't rise so it was normal...Help!

Sounds like a fluid problem to me. Check if your master and/or slave cylinders are leaking. Master is on the firewall in front of the driver, you may have fluid leaking on the inside as well.

Slave is on the front of the tranny. Check for leaks and doublecheck your fluid level. Did you bleed the lines?

Nope I did not see any leakage and yes I bleed the clutch already. I'm thinking that it might be the clutch disk spring that broke off or loose or something but Iono...

hmmm just take it to a mechanic, sure it costs money but still it beats the hassle and saves you time. then if you can do it yourself, do it.
