engine mods: aem cai - skunk2 im - NOZ nitrous 45 shot - apexi n1 exhaust - fuel pressure regulator and guage - i think thats it.

question: he is going to turbo his teg, he wants to know what he should do to it first to make it turbo ready, and want to know what brand parts to use for each thing suggested

"Turbo ready" could be anything. If he just wants to bolt on a kit and put down like 240-260 whp there's not really anything necessary.

What are his overall plans...

Bolt on and run?
Tweak and tune?

How many miles? If it doesn't have many miles and he wants to do something mild it should be "ready" in its current state

Well allow me to rephrase my prior statement. In terms of modifications to the motor you don't really need to add anything.

Here's a decent list of pre-install things to take care of:
  • Make sure ALL maintenance is current (hoses, belts, timing belt, water pump, brake pads, tires, etc.)
  • If not new or nearly new, then new fuel filter (regardless of #1)
  • oil change and new filter will happen with turbo install,
    start using premium gas now
  • Compression and leak-down tests have already been done, right?
  • as "lean" a coolant mix as you can stand (flush coolant system, see #1)
  • Redline water wetter and a good water pump lube/anti-corrosive
  • new thermostat
  • new radiator cap
  • new 1 heat range colder NGK plugs
  • new NGK plug wires
  • spray penetrating oil on nuts and bolts that will need to be removed

thanx, sorry bout the question, just he has like 1-2000 bux to build his motor any way he wants before adding a turbo(insurance money from it being stolen). so he just wants to make sure his engine will not be harmed at all when he gets up into like 250-300 hp range i guess.
