Default new rumor to me about brakes

Ok I just heard from a sales rep that brembo cross drilled and slotted warp or crack within 5 months average is that true? Also he said that brembo brakes only come in gold however I just won some on ebay that are silver?

I've heard about them "warping" quickly but that may just be due to poor break in or misuse. About being gold, I have silver Brembo rotors. Maybe he is talking about a certain model. Yours probably say "Brembo" along the edge like mine, along with a bunch of numbers, etc, I can't remember what's all on there.

why would a company such as brembo keep manufacturing disc that are prone to warp? i say its some sort of BS and user problem.

Mine warped within 4 months I would say, but they have yet to crack. I've had them for a little over a year.

because the rotor is a little bit thinner. So it gets hotter (Even though ti disapates the heat) and then it cools down quickly and boom, you get warpage.

That, bad pads -- people thinking they have a race car because they have slotted rotors -- and spraying water on it after they get done driving.
Oh, too tight of lugs.

One more reason to get the fastbrakes kit with blank 2-piece rotors if you're doing hard driving like that.

Brembos do come in silver, i can't recall seeing a gold one that i can think of. These people might not have broken in their new rotors either, you have to do a couple of hard stops from 60 to heat-treat them otherwise they won't work optimally.

the gold ones are zinc plated. i have the dimpled and slotted brembo rotors( didnt get drilled because they are prone to crack) on for more than 3 months and they are great.
