seat belts squeak

YAY. i fixed my squeak. it just needed some lube. anyway, here are some pics....

first remove the center console. it will free up some room. there are 2 screws under the plate under the ebrake, and 2 screws, one on each side, on the back.

then you remove 2 screws to take the small plastic panel off. it takes a bit of working putting these two back on.




when the buckle is exposed, remove the bolt that holds in onto the seat:




the buckle will be connected to the seat still by some wires. be careful with them. by moving the buckle housing, you can see why lube is needed. spray a bit of lube on both sides, move it around again, then repeat. im not sure which lube to use, so i used white lithium. the smell lingers in my car a bit. be careful not to spray too much because there are wires in there that can get shorted out.




good luck. im not sure if this will fix YOUR squeak, but it did mine.:thumbup:

I just used some silicone spray with the little thin red "tube" and sprayed the SOB where it pivots.

Worked for me :dunno:

any kinda lube works? anyone hear of belray thas all i have...
o well ima try anyways
