Any gear ratios better than Type R?
I´m looking to rebuild my GSR tranny and did not know if any one makes closer gear ratios than the Type R tranny to keep RPMs high. Don´t know if I should rebuild it or buy a Type R tranny.
Thanks Jay |
u can use the gears from a B17 or JDM SiR-II tranny... same thing though :oh:

I believe a couple of aftermarket companies make closer ones. J's Racing comes to mind, but don't quote me.

Any websites or idea on where they can be found. Thanks

Type-R tranny with ATS FD

I´m a little new with Hondas. Whats ATS FD and where can I get it? Is that the best choice for Road Racing? Thanks

Thanks I'm not sure if it's the "best" choice for road racing but a lot of amateur road racers run it and love it. I'm assuming you have a gsr that's relatively stock engine-wise? Not sure if the higher gear ratios/FD would help as much with the gsr's powerband (as compared to a type-R). Shingo ps. Whoops, ATS FD = ATS Final Drive. I forgot what the ATS stood for; probably some private race company. Please correct me if I'm wrong :) |
ATS = Active Traction Service
