Code 9 is a cyp senser (cylinder position senser) Its in your distributer. Did this just happen after you replaced your wires cap and rotor? If so you may have put your wires on wrong the firing order is 1-3-4-2.

When you replace the distributor did you reset the base timing? Are you sure you have the rite firing order? Nether will not cause that code but will affect engine performance.

Ok so we have a new distributor so the senser should be good (new new not new to you?). So that leaves 2 wires and the ecm and any connection in between. This is a dumb trick I picked up but grab every wire at the distributor harness, harness end and distributor end and tug on one wire at a time. If one wire comes out of the harness that is the wire that is open. Simple.

More advanced you will need a wire manual you maybe can get one from this site www.hondatech.info do a search. Find the 2 wires going to the cyp senser unplug the distributor and ecm do an ohm check on both wires you want next to 0 ohms not ofl or 100k ohms. Ofl on a meter is open and 100k ohms is very high resistance. Also check to see if the wire are shorted to ground. Take on end of your meter to ground and one to the wire both ends unplugged. You should have ofl.

I would fix the code first. I do not think its a bad ecm probably just a bad wire. Then I would reset the base timing. This should fix the miss problem. crossed fingers.
