what size tires wont rub?

im thinking of gettin some 17" rims/tires...and im gonna be lowering my car at least an inch with some GC coilovers...what size tires wont rub?

205/40/17 's and I think you might be able to go up to 215's but im not sure.. 205's i'm positive about

I have 215/40/17 on Ground Controls and my rears rubbed very badly at first...raising the rear helped a bit but on hard cornering they still rub. Stick with 205's.
