Default different years, different cams?

hey guys. i hear that the 00-01 cams are more aggressive/better than the 97-98 cams. if this is so, how come all b18c5's put out 195 hp?

also, off topic..did the 97-98 R's get a carbon fiber console?

There has been a lot of debate over the cams. The 00-01's have a different part number and I've been told that they are the exact specs. as the JDM Civic Type R. As for the carbon fiber console, the 97-98's never got that faux carbon fiber stuff.

97-98 dyno very differently than 00-01. Just because Honda didn't change their numbers, that doesn't mean things didn't change.

They do not dyno very differently, a Celica GTS and an ITR dyno very differently.

My point is that there is a slight difference between the 97-99 and the 00-02 itr's.

I think there are slight differences in the cam profiles in the later generation R's... There's no difference between JDM & USDM R cams. That's what I've read, I'll double check when I get home.

People buy CTR cams instead of ITR cams for a reason. That 'slight' difference isn't very slight.
