What else can i do?
get rid of that AEM intake and buy an intake that makes real power, cams are an easy but depending on what cams you go with, can get pricey.
So what intake makes "real" power. Do tell...my AEM kicks ass IMO and is emissions legal too. The general function of an intake of tube and filter is about as good as it is going to get. Considering the 1st intakes out there were made of pvc piping and make shift external filters.
Well you're too far along to go turbo unless you want to sell the parts that are on your car so you can make a nice all motor set up. Cams/camgear/intake manifold/TB/everything port matched/upgraded valvetrain/pistons and raise the compression...so what you've got done and about 4k later you're looking pretty quick for a sleeper.
Even if you go turbo now, you will still come out better than trying to go NA with all the upgrades. I wouldn't recommend going for NA power on a non-vtec engine as most cams will compromise driveability due to having only one cam profile on the intake and exhaust sides.
Maybe a Jackson racing supercharger might be a better option if you want to keep your parts.
Don't throw a lot of money on your DA, just keep it a fun daily driver. Piece together a turbo kit or get a used supercharger. If you think you're going to spend more than 1.5k, then save up for another platform.
