What Is This!!! -5 Imgs
I recently bought a slightly used(112k miles) 2000 Integra. It's clean, the engine was in good working order and the body had only minor damages. I am happy with my purchase. It's got aftermarket work done to it. I know whats going on with most of the stuff because of magazines, tv and friends... I only know what I have read or what I have been told. So I freaked out when I found this controller with no serials, model or part number on it. I want to know what it is but I can't look it up. I know it's some sort of controller. I found it under the dashboard behind my CD deck on the floor. It's hooked to a toggle switch but I have not back tracked the wires to see where it goes on the other side of the toggle switch. It has one electrical 12v input and no out puts. The input has male seperated electrical prongs. Five of the prongs are recessed in a square box and the other 5 in a hexagonal box. On the inside on the 3 black ?diodes? I can read the brand name SHARP and also it says PANEL. DC/DC BOX on the bottom of the same side the SHARP ?diodes? are on. I have tried doing all kinds of things with the toggle switch on and off and I cant figure out what it goes to! PLZ HELP!!!
I have a 97 LS coupe and I don't remember seeing any such box when I stripped my interior to install sound deadening mat. It's been a while, though... so I may be senile.
h:
1) Trace the wires. Assuming they run back to the ECU, note down the pin numbers.
2) If you can, take some macro photographs with something better than a cell phone camera. Even with the connector diagram, those pics are too blurry to be of much use IMO.

ask the guy you bought it from. Those things you are pointing to are called IC's or microchips, or simply "chips" not diodes. If you could get be a better picture I might be able to say what it is.
And judging by those three chips I'd say this wasn't a CB radio, I could be wrong, but thats a lot of digital stuff for such an analog device.

It looks like it could be a power supply/controller for something, but it's difficult to tell from those photos.
Post the white test that appears in the bottom of the 4th photo - the one that you superimposed "Sharp".
