Default Do Comptech aftermarket parts void out Acura's warranty?

Do Comptech aftermarket parts void out Acura's warranty? I want to get the all Comptech setup of I/H/E. I just hit 15,000 miles on my GSR so I still have 35,000 miles on my warranty and don't want to void it.

Bolt-ons don't void warranty, at least at the local dealer

nope, comptech is a honda brand. alot of dealerships will want them to install the part so that it won't void the warranty. Also some dealerships promote aftermarket parts and will still cover under warranty even if its not a comptech product, but you have to buy it from them and THEY have to install it.

Comptech does not void warranty. The dealer will actually install Comptech parts for you if you want them to. I got my Integra brand new w/Comptech Exhaust installed. Some dealers even sell Comptech Integras with the full I/H/E.

Its not that its a honda brand...and its a sticky question.

Some dealers will warranty you with anything, as long as the modification doesnt cause the problem. These dealers are intelligent.

Then you have the dumbass dealers (95% of them) that wont warranty anything. Theyll make up some excuse, even with a Comptech part "we didnt install it" "we only warranty parts that we order from Comptech" "it could be fake" or who knows. Why do they do this? Because most idiots will just go "oh ok" and walk away.

I would check with your specific dealer instead of asking on here.

LS/Vtec requires honda parts, and I'm sure it voids your warranty.

He was just making a point.

And its not a Honda brand...its that some dealerships around the country chose to purchase, install, and warranty Comptech or AEM parts, thats all. Honda has nothing to do with it except probably giving the dealers the go-ahead.
