Does anyone know when do you suppose to change timing belt & water pump? is it at 90000 or 6 years? the dealer told me that i need to change it right away, my car has only 73000 miles,and it is 1995 integra, i really appreciate your help. this is a great web site, thank you all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! peace!

90k miles

unless it looks worn and about to break. Is this an Acura dealer?

i think its recommended at around 60-70k miles...
but im sure u can go a lil more than that

eh, my factory service manual only goes up to 75k miles on the maintenance chart and it says nothing about a timing belt. In the Chilton's manual it says 90k miles.

If it's an Acura dealer then they probably know what they're talking about if they inspected it and it looks cracked or something.

Officially should be changed at 90k. But some people do it at 60k. Reason? Because it can actually break at 60k. Not often but it can. So it's safer to do. Figure 600 bucks vs thousands of dollars for a new engine. It's sorta like changing the oil. Manual says 7500 miles but everyone does it at 3000.

I got the maintenance schedule from Acura and it say to change @ 90K miles on cars before 1996. I can't give much info about it, cause I don't know about timing belts or water pumps too much. All I know is Acura certified maintenance schedule says 90K for that stuff.
