Default excessive tire wear

hey how you all doing? im having a slight problem with the tires on my carr i just bought some used wilnter tires for my car like 2 months ago and already the front tires are pretty much bald all around already and i cant explain why as i dont think it is a camber issue, i then had them rotated like a week ago and it looks as if it is starting to have the same problemm, so i guess im wondering what it is that could be causing this fast tire wear, also i have noticed that when i start accelerating the front end is making a kind of whirring sound which only gets louder as i go faster, are these two problems related or seperate? thanks

Sounds like you could benefit from an alignment. The toe is probably out of spec causing both the rapid tire wear and the whirring noise.

When was it last aligned and does it do the same thing with a different set of tires on?

winter tires wear fast and are noisy

How many miles you put on the car since installing the used winter tires? How used were they?

If the tires are wearing evenly and the car tracks straight I would not get an alignment

I agree sounds like a alignment problem.

One other possibility is that it could be due to a problem with your suspension - worn/cracked bushings, bent control arm, etc.

Check under the car first and see if anything is worn out/damaged suspension components. If everything seems fine then get an alignment.

just because your car tracks straight and you think your tires arent wearing funny is NOT an excuse not to get an alignment.

at the very least, get your car on a rack and see where everything is at. if you're like "bah i dont need one" then so be it.

i have lifetime alignment deals on both of my cars and get an alignment every other oil change. my cars track straight as an arrow, have good tire wear but the toe specs always change within those 5k miles

Oh and make sure your tire pressures are where they should be. People always make this mistake of having incorrect tire pressures that cause premature wear.
