Default Manual steering

So I was going through the service manual .pdf, and I noticed that the power steering runs off of a single belt. So I thought to myself, why not make it like my last car and take the belt off again?

That pos is coming off tomorrow, come hell or high water. (knife lol, but I have the .pdf, so it's not like my Galant, where I'd have to do this backwards procedure and loosen the alternator belt first to get to the Power Steering belt.) Anyway...

My question for you is, and this is purely out of curiousity, how many of you run manual steering by choice?

That's all,
-Ian

I like power steering. Removing it won't do anything positive for me.

Are you planning on removing the power steering pump completely and looping the rack to retain the fluid?

Unfortunately, no. If I plan on selling the car in a year or two, I want to be able to put a new belt on in <15 minutes.

Some things kind of happened on my way to owning a 944...but this car will get me back there. I just have to be good to it.
