Default Light in hatch...

Ok so today i finally fixed the problem that haunts many 98+ integras. The Actuator latch problem. Well what i wanted to know is, what makes the light inside the hatch turn on?? Im refering to the little light on the left side right above the left rear strut.

I have an alarm on my car and since the light doesnt turn on in the hatch when i pop it, then my alarm wont go off. So just wanted to know what will make the light turn.

Thanks.

The light is supposed to be activated by opening the hatch. You probably already know, but its has a ON/OFF switch on the light itself. Have you checked to see what position its in?

If its on, maybe the bulb is out.

I believe he's refering to the sensor/switch that tells the light to go on/off even while set in the "on" position (it's not going to stay on all the time just because it's in the on position). I never really checked but mine seems to go on instantly when I open it so I would guess it linked near the latch. :hsdunno:

Yea im refering to the sensor/switch that triggers that light to go on or off. I know its on the on position and I changed the light bulb already... and yea I think its linked somewhere in the latch.... gotta find out where though... hmmm
