It is all in your head. It isn't a turbo...you aren't supposed to feel it.

When are you going to learn that you aren't going to feel it. You may hear it, but not feel it.

Its hopeless guys. Some don't appricate the finer points of the VTEC system. All these young guys talk about crossing over and getting louder and contribute that with aburst of energy. To put matters simply, think of a VTEC system as something that allows your engine to rev to high revs (like 7500rpm+) without feeling as though its not making anymore power. The best example I can think of is like a V8 in a late model mustang or camaro. Sure the engine 'might' spin to 6800 or 7000rpm but most owners will tell you theres no point since the motor can't EFFECTIVELY use that much rpm and does just fine shifting at like 55 or 6. Don't be fooled by people telling you otherwise. Look at the dyno sheet for a typical V8. (typical being the keyword) the line graph rises quickly (rpm wise) and then plateaus all the way to redline, and is some cases drops the closer it is to that redline. On a VTEC engine, Where the motor would have started to plateau there is a shift to the "high" cam profile and power continues severely close to engine redline. (on a 8000rpm B18C1 appx. 78-7900rpm) That is the glory of VTEC!!! Sorry so long but sometimes...
