Default should i buy OEM or other?

i have alot to do to my car,and im just curious what i should use for what
i guess the best way to format this and you can copy it if you want, or do your own thing i dont care,

oxygen sensor
valve cover gasket
timing belt
wiper blades
fuel pump
fuel filter
fenders
airfilter for CAI
i guess you could say if you really shoud get oem of if the autozone will work or list your favorite brand.

i will answer in order u posted:

standard motor products or bosch
felpro is fine
gates, dayco, or oem
anco or trico
carter or bosch
wix
feders you can get from a body company, a salvage yard, or oem
your going to wind up taking the airfilter and measuring dimensions to find a match...k&n for brand

just remember....there is no such thing as oem...someone(bosch, federal mogul...whoever) is making the parts for them and putting the automakers logos and part numbers on them.

the product bosch gives to say honda and the product they box in the bosch box has no differences whatsoever...

sometimes the bosch boxed one is actually better because bosch is required to manufacter hondas to certain specs where their engineers may see how to improve on the design for their own box.

90% of your "aftermarket" products are identical or of higher quality than the OEM equivelent.

i deal every day with the companies that manufacter parts for the OEM and Aftermarket. i know what goes into it and what they do... thats why i try to buy aftermarket whenever i can because im getting the same product for generally a fraction of the price.
