Default why are turbos so cheap?!?!

quick question, i know i know, you get what you pay for, and i dont intend to buy any of these, I DONT want to hear your opinions about the turbo i dont care, i just want to know why they are so cheap, what are they sacrifising whats it made out of, dose anyone know?

such as this one in ebay, again i dont wat to hear about the turbo, its an example, and ok so it does not have an intercooler or all of the piping, this is an example, i have seen full kits intercooler all pipes and all for 800 http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Integ...78193257QQrdZ1

Simple... there is no fuel management hardware included.
No injectors. No piggy-back ECU. Nothing.
That is why the price is low.

They are simply bundling together the manifold, turbocharger, plumbing and related hardware.. but that eBay kit is by no mens a complete, ready-to-run turbocharging system.

Also the manifold and down pipes are made cheaply and out of cheap materials that will most likely crack.

Well, think for a minute. :run:

More air going in to the motor obviously requires more fuel.
So yeah, you have to do something to maintain the correct air/fuel ratio.
There are a number of ways to handle that aspect of turbocharging.

But since you lack experience in general, I would strongly recommend that you do not buy the "kit" you've posted.... particularly if you're going to do the installation.

that is one of the crappiest kits on earth. it's so cheap because the manifold and other parts are made overseas from cheap materials that will likely break causing you to spend more money in the long run replacing stuff that breaks.

"ssautoshit" is the coined term for that kit.

The reason why they are so inexpensive is because the metal used is very mallable. It is made of unami-pali-alloy. A.K.A. liquid metal.

Also beware of turbochargers and kits claiming "Garrett Internals", or "Garrett Housing" with no name internals. These are very common on Ebay.

yea good point, but i knew you would need injectors, i just thought it was on the purchaser to buy the injectors of his choosing, but i was not planning to buy that kit with my life, i would never, but it got me thinking why, im sure there were some horror stories out there, plus i would argue the point that i am "inexperienced" but i cant dissagree, there is so much for me still to learn, and you guys are a great help thanks.
