Default Cruise problem!

Hey i have a problem with my 1990 integra, um the cruise seems to not work at all. When i press the button on the dash the light goes on but when i try to set cruise control nothing lights up it the cluster and cruise does not engage. Recently i put a new brake switch in and was just wondering if i have it adjusted so its too touchy or somethin, or if its just a fuse or somethin. Not really sure how to check this out... i couldnt find a cruise control fuse either...

help is appreciated thanks

ya brake lights work fine.. I took the switch out of another integra i have, same model and year. I was just wondering if maybe i adjusted it so its TOO touchy if u know what i mean. Take like almost no pressure on the pedal to make the lights go on.

no because when you adjust it you adjust the position of the whole switch, if you move the stop you move the switch since they are one and the same. just get down and look at it, make sure it rests as far foreward as it can go. Then if you have a multimeter I would recomend you take the switch out and test that it is working correctly. i can give you info on how to do that if you want.

sure i would like that imformation please. Just curious tho..is there even a fuse for the cruise control? I didnt see one under the dash or under the hood.
If someone could tell me which fuse it is than i would like to check that its not blown before i take stuff apart. I know its no big deal to take the switch out but i still just wanna know what fuse the CC is on, i didnt see it labeled on any of the plastic fuse panel covers.

I only have the service manual for the 3G integra but for them there are sveral fuses that it could be but if everything else is working and the light comes on, the fuses should be fine. When you say the light, you mean the light on the button right? is there is light on your cluster that comes on when the CC is actually engaged?

for the brake switch it will be easier to just take it out and test it, the light green wire to grey should be normally closed and the green and white wires to white and green should be normally open.

okay i'll try and explain this the best i can:

1. The brake lights all work fine, no problem there.
2. The cruise control does not engage at all, at any speed, and the green cruise indicator light inside the cluster does not light up.

i would really like to know what fuses to check, just in case i shorted somethin out. I had to do a some wiring on my headlights and may have blown a fuse or somethin, i was just thinking they may be on the same circuit.

I'm gonna see what i come up with for the brake light switch.

cruise ties into so many different circuits you might as well just check all of them, should take you more then 10 min.
