I got a defective equipment warning for my exhaust. What's the best approach?

Should I find a stock exhaust and bolt it up, or do I try to pass the DMV exhaust sound dyno with my Comptech cat back, lol. This really pisses me off because this exhaust setup is pretty quiet at lower rpms. The state cop said my exhaust was annoying and made me feel like a rice boy, I wanted to kick the fawker in the nuts.

What state? I just went through this in Ca and passed, so I don't have to worry about it anymore.

Connecticut

Well, can't help you on the laws, but I'd still say get it tested. At least that way, you KNOW if it is or isn't legal before you go swapping stuff out. Since it was for a ticket, they tested mine for free.

Just get it tested. It isn't that loud...it should pass.

Ok, will do. My Integra gets a lot of petty tickets like this and it looks stock from the outside (except for the drop and exhaust). I even painted the muffler high temp flat black so it doesn't stand out and I still get pulled over. :upset:

It passed inspection. :joshers:

Now if I can figure out why my driver side corner light bulb keep blowing, I'll be set.

Congrats on passing :)
