Manual Tranny Fluid
I think it's about time this car's had a tranny fluid change. I've looked into it a bit and see that Honda MTF and Redline transmission fluid are both popular picks for these cars. I used Redline in my Nissan Frontier and it worked great, and shifted better, but I just wanted to get some opinions before I commit to either. Also, what is the Redline equivalent to Honda MTF? Thanks
From everything I've read in Honda forums, Honda MTF is better than the Redline formula.

I've been looking into this Synchromesh fluid and I'm pretty much sold on it. I haven't seen one negative review yet! I have a couple questions... How many quarts does a GSR transmission take? Do you just pump it into the transmission using a hand pump? Thanks in advance.
synchromesh here for 3 years now, I love it. Used to always grind going into 5th unless I shifted at like 2000 rpm. fixed after a couple days. can't really call it a miracle oil though because I have no idea what was in there before that, but it never grinds if you shift right.
there are a few different types of the synchromesh, search this forum to find the right part#.

I use Redline MTL in my orn trans... and Honda MTF in all my customer's cars. Both are superb. Redline probably holds up to higher loads and heat better, but both are fine for just gettin groceries.
Acura recently came out with new MTF in silver/white colored bottle, its' backwards compatible. It bears Acura name not Honda. PS fluid and coolant got new the bootle too, but not sure if the content are new as well.
