Won't start (girlfriend mad...).

my 1996 integra won't start up. I was super low on gas when I pulled in last night to raid her fridge. All of the lights turn on in the car and the radio works so i don't think its a dead battery. I also put in 2 gallons of gas from an ARCO station this morning but still nothing. I mean, i got a hint at a start but then nothing.

I'm sure its hard to assess over the internet without seeing the car but do you think I need more gas (I have a AAA membership) or jsut walk my butt to get a new battery? I'm stuck in my girlfriend's spot and I'm eating all of her food.

What do you think it is :) gas-battery-other? Also, is there a way to 'reset or recallibrate' the gas indicator. It goes above Full and then when i'm out it just looks kinda low...

check your fuel pump fuse. or it could be a timing belt slippage.

Hopefully you didn't fuck the injectors by being so low on gas. If you ran out, it's possible that you can crap out the injectors.

i used to forget to turn my fuelpump back on before driving--at least 10 times, my car is still running 100%... i highly doubt hescrewed up the injectors

if your getting lights but it's not turning over, it's the starter. Mine randomly went out w/o any prior notice. If it is turning over and just not cranking, then you have fuel, spark and compression to check. Just a quick idea. :)

If the car is turning over, then chances are its your ignition control module or the ignition coil. This is common on integras.
