Default a/c removal

How do I remove my a/c from my 91 integra? I looked in the search but no idea how to take it off. There are holes in the lines and no use in using it because it doesn't work at all. Plus it takes up a bunch of room in the engine compartment that it doesn't need too. Be much easier to work on my car without all the extra stuff in there. Thx..

.... basically....

-open beer
-call someone to legally evacuate the system for $60ish
-take out your condensor
-take out your compressor
-take out your compressor fan
-follow all the lines...
-take them out
-if your trashing the system anyway... don't be afraid to bend/break anything

as steve and i have both learned.... it's the funnest 2 hours of your car working-ness

Yep. Fun stuff.

Those first two steps were not followed with your A/C removal, though. h:

Thx for the link. How do you check if there is anything in there? I pressed the two little stems that are on the lines and nothing came out at all... I'm assuming that it was all vented when the car got into a wreck...Not when I had it though....

if your pushing the little stem in up top right by the radiator... then yes it should be 98% vented... i think there will be a LITTLE bit more pressure in the lines as we learned when one of them blew off (oops). but once that main valve has been released there should be little or no pressure in the system anymore
