Default Ignition rotor and coil screws stripped..what to do?

Hi guys, this might just be a stupid question but here goes. I would like a more knowledgeable solution to this.

What do you guys suggest I should do to replace my screwed screws. It was just so hard to pull them out so they got all stripped and I vise gripped them out. I also ripped out the rotor to get the screw and leak cover off. I searched the forum but nothing came up for a solution so I hope you guys can answer a simple question. Thanks!

I believe they need to be special screws, so you need to get them from the dealership.

why are they special? they don't conduct electricity or anything, they just hold the components in place. just go to a hardware store and buy some replacements.

Page 1199 of the PDF helms manual found in the Civic forum sticky. The rotor retaining screw must be made of diamagnetic material.

I think the rest of the screws can be normal hardware screws, but I would pick up a rotor retaining screw from the dealership.

THanks! I search the forum for 'diamagnetic' and we were the only post that had it.. haha! I hope that it'll help someone else. Thanks for noticing it. I missed it or forgot about it when I read through the Helms.

Yeah, I just vaguely remembered reading about the special screw when I was looking at testing out my ignitor and coil. Diamagnetic just means that it is repelled by a magnet. I don't know why it needs to be like that, but I would rather trust Honda and buy an overpriced screw than fuck up a $200 distributor.
