Default How Many Miles can you get out of a timing belt??

I have a '94 Integra LS 4-door that will turn over 200K on the odo this afternoon.

I replaced the timing belt (and water pump) around 90K, when the manual said to. I haven't done a second one, and I am wondering if/when I should have the job done.

How many miles can I realistically get out of the belt?

Are there any warnings before it goes?

Can my dealer check the belt for wear?

I appreciate the responses. I need to take it out of town next weekend, (~700 miles) and I put my wife's '05 into a pole in a parking lot in a rain storm two weeks ago, and it won't be done by then h: And I don't think I want to rent some lousy domestic car for the trip...

Thanks!!

everything you did at 90k should be done at 180k as well...i would take care of that asap.... im actually surprised that you've now made it 110k w/o changing it... i suggest you do so

-realistically it differs between cars... i've seen them go @ 85k and i've seen them go at 130k (w/o changing)

-no warnings, it will snap, or jump a tooth and you can kiss your engine goodbye

-yes they should be able to... but they will try to talk you into getting the service done there which costs close to $1000

.....i would suggest changing it for that trip.... just to be safe... that's a long way to go with being "unsure" about the condition of your engine
