Default why does my exhaust sound like a bee.

My exhaust sounds like there is a rattle, but i checked all the bolts and they are all tight, so i don't know what the problem is.

Pacesetter headers, Magnaflow cat, custom 3" magnaflow can and tip.

thanks,

Mrproul

do you have a 3 inch exhaust? if so you lost power and wasted your money unless you have a huge turbo under the hood.
you can check for any places where the exhaust might be hitting a heat shield or the gas tank and adjust from there.
you could also weld in a resonator int he straight pipe between the cat and the S-pipe. that would reduce the raspiness.

Could be the cat heat-shield. I just ripped mine off cause 3 of the 4 bolts rusted off making an awful rattle noise

the pipe from the cat back is the stock diamiter pipe, the can at the back is 3" inlet 3" outlet custom magnaflow fit to the axle back part. I actualy believe that it is the heat shield above the old cat. the resonator is still there and it is the stock one. do they go bad?
