I don't know if this is your problem but about 4 months ago i unhooked my battery and when i hooked it back up i got the samething. It's an anti-theft so if someone steals it they can't use it without a code. I had to take out the stock deck and look at the model number on the back and call my acura dealer and then they gave me a code. If thats not it then i don't know.

Thanx guys
I tried to open the player. I took out the ash tray and undid the 2 screws. Then i took that whole ash tray out. Then I was left with the stereo and an empty box underneath it. But I just cant take that empty box out. I think there are some tabs on sides and upper edge in the centre. But I couldnt pull it out even after taking care of those 3 tabs.
Wat else is sticking it inside yet. I dint push my entire force coz I fear I might break it and end up0 paying more .
Help guys.
Please

You have to put in a stereo code. You can find this sometimes inside the car at odd places. For instance, mine was stuck to the bottom of my ashtray. If you take the tray out, flip it over and see if there's a 5(i think) digit number. Other people said to look in the glovebox.
