Ex-Honda owner obtaining an Integra

Hey guys,

I've been a member of the forum for a few years now, and have recently began my search of a honda/acura. I found one local to me. Its a 1992 Integra, not exactly sure which model because I have not bought it yet. It does have some damage, but I'm getting it for rather cheap.

The Teg already has CAI, Cat-back exhaust w/ 4 inch tip, Clear Tails and NGK plugs.

Factory options include 5spd, power windows, power sunroof, alloy rims (blah), cruise control, air bag..

How can I tell which model it is before I buy it on tuesday?

Are there any issues that I should be aware of? Recalls? "Easy" mods?

get the VIN # and run it on carfax.com
also understand that because it has some mods consider that it could have been beatn on. What are u gettin git for $$$$$$$? AMD how many miles.
I only buy stock because me knowing a car has been "touched" just doesnt flow with me. Take it for a ride and feel the clucth. AND PLEASE drive with the radio off and windows up and then down. Too many people tried for me to drive the car with the radio up saying OH LISTEN TO THE BEATS, and as i turn it down i hear ther shit.
GL man

new teg

Take it from someone who found out the hard way. Take the car to a
dealership or good mechanic and ask for a complete run down on the
car and any possible problems. You'll save yourself alot lf money in the
long run.

Good luck.

thanks for the replies guys, but im a pretty big gear head..i looked the car down and its in pretty nice condition even tho its pretty high miles...180k, but the car has been babied..inside carpet and seats has NO stains what so ever and no tears at all the dash is not cracked at all and the bezels around the speedo and radio are not broken..also it has an aftermarket aiwa cd player, not GREAT i know, but atleast it is a cd player..ill be hooking my mp3 player up to it anyway..

the clutch is good, i didnt actually drive it yet, but i did get in put it in first and let off the clutch with the E brake on..and it pulled like a champ

about the mods, they were professionally put in i have the receipts from the installs.

the total mileage is just under 180k. the engine does not TICK at all, it starts on the first crank

the bad part was that the car was sideswiped..no offense to those that do, but i just dont understand those who park on the street overnight lol..it needs a new driverside fender and the door and rear quarterpanel need fixing, but that isnt much at all..im getting the car for 900 bucks..anyone got a black 90-93 drivers side fender for sale? eh eh

its a 90? Take it for a test drive first before you even consider buying it first. Models that old have A LOT of road noise. vibrations, squeeking, clunking, etc....
