Default Replacing Brake Light Bulb

Well guys after almost 13 years my brake/tail light finally gave out. I want to replace it myself and have read the owner's manual, but I'm wondering if any of you out there could offer any tips. Is it really necessary to remove the whole inside trunk panel. If so, how did you get those plastic tabs out? Thanks.

push the circle center down then pull the tab out. when puttin git back in, pull the center up, push tab in and push center flush
yes the back panel has to come off and depending on where the bulb is you might need to take or move over the nearest paneling(so u have room)
the tail light can stay in there just turn the socket and pull out. Always pull out
BTW im assuming its a 94+ teg. not sure if the older ones are the same
