Default Overheating Problem Help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey whats up guys my first integra and its my winter beater. NOw i have a problem. its a 89 Integra 1.6 I think and its overheating. Just put a new thermostat and its still does the same. but the thing that is my fans never turn on. What do you think my problem is? Please help me out. I checked the oil and still looks good

check your fan senor. Also do you notice any white smoke coming out of your exhaust. Could be a headgasket, have you cheked your coolant level lately?

Well its never gone to red yet. Its like always 2 or 3 miilimeters short of that so is that good or bad? and i dont think that can cause my headgasket to crack?can it

well where is that fan sensor exactly and try to explain it the best that you can? thanks a lot

if you're only 2-3 mm from red, you're definatly running hot. are you sure you got the right thermostat for it? if not, maybe your radiator is crapping out on you also

Could be the fan relay, but then that would just make the fan come on when the car gets too hot, they would not always be on keeping your engine cool. Radiator could be taking a shit.

if you want a quick *right now* fix wire up a switch to ur fan for the time being so u can get that engine cooled down....im running at about 1/4 from the left on my temp levels

well where would I hook that fan switch up and what wire exactly you know. Thanks for all the help guys this is really awesome but please I just need some more help. Today it got hott and the temp never went past the 3/4 temp light. it stayed above normall the whole time and never actually got red so what do you guys think.

um, you definitely have a problem with your fans. replace the fan switch and also check the relay.

how do I get the radiotor out? Do I have to take apart the whole front end or what and how do I get the fans out? Please let me know guys and how long can the needle at the red mark before the head gasket blows?
