ok guys i need some help. whenever i boost it sputters out at around 4500rpm, ive tryed new distributor, tryed every tuning map imaginable, and it still cuts out. and wen i only boost say 3pounds it can rev to 6000ish but then still cuts out. so im outa ideas.....

 

You might be detonating. Did you ever get it tuned?

 

naw man difinetly isnt detinating, its bin all tuned its like my timing just totaly colapses under full boost, well actualy it builds full boost at like 3000 so it makes no sence y it would sputter like it does at 4500. its almost like the boost is blowing out the spark before it can detinate, but even tho im running stock dizzy it should be strong enough to hold the spark durning only 8lbs, im startin to run outa ideas and the guys that built it up for me are too...

 

Well why dont you tell us your fuel and engine management setup...what are you running? Was it dyno tuned? Or just guestimated with a base map?

 

you did jump the MAP sensor right?

 

ok well im not to sure about all the tuning and stuff cause its a budy of mine that is doin it... he has his laptop and some atf comps hooked up and we go drivin round so he tunes it on the fly then goes burns me a chip with the new map on it. but im runnin a b20 with 450cc injecters out of a dsm, and they have bin all modded and we got the resister box in, uhhh got a garrett t28 turbo with the wastegate set at 8 lbs. all i know about the tuning is he uses a program called chrome. but he knows wat hes doin he has turboed lots of cars and this is the first time hes ever seen this and says it shouldnt be doing it and theres no reason for it but its just doing it..
