Good idea. If you have a skilled professional do the job it'll be just like it always was.

What is wrong with your current tranny?

Is it an LS or GSR tranny?

A reman'd unit is a better bet than some junkyard unit 99 times out of a 100. So assuming the company that did the work was thorough, you ought to be fine.

If it is slipping in every gear, you most likely need to flush & top off your trans fluid.
