• Integra Forum Policies [Read Before Posting]

* INTRODUCTION:
The impression seems to be that if the Integra brand has something to do with the topic, then it's fine to dump the thread here. This impression is false. Changes need to be made to preserve order in this forum...and we request your cooperation.

* FORUM SCOPE:
This forum exists to answer technical questions regarding the repair, restoration and performance modifications for the Integra model line, model years 1986 to 2001 inclusive. As of August 7, 2006, this forum extended its scope to include the US market 1997-2001 Integra Type-R model.

----------------

* SPECIFIC EXCLUSIONS *
1)The 2002-2006 Honda Integra Type-R [DC5]
Since this generation of the ITR never came to the US market, any questions regarding the 2002-06 ITR should be directed to the RSX/ 02+ Civic Si forum, the closest domestic relative of the DC5 ITR.

2)All other models using a transplanted Integra motor.
All questions related to vehicles with swapped motors belong in the Engine Swaps forum (aka Hybrid forum for the old-timers) and nowhere else.

----------------

* PLEASE SEARCH FIRST! *
Since the Integra has enjoyed wide retail and aftermarket success, there are a number of topics that are have been discussed over and over. Questions on suspension systems, tires, bolt-on peformance upgrades, etc, have all been dealt with before.

So, as a favor to everyone here at HAN, please use our Search Engine to see if your question has been answered.

In many cases, you will be able to get an answer much faster than we can respond in real-time. By searching first, you will help maintain order and cut down on the number of repetitive questions.

If you have the time to bump your thread, you have the time to use our search engine (see Policy #4 below)

----------------

* POSTING POLICIES *
The really important stuff begins here. Start reading.

1) If you are looking to buy an Integra, or are comparing brands / cars, please post your thread in The Basement.

2) If you are selling your Integra, please post in Vehicle Classifieds ONLY.

3) If you are selling parts from or for an Integra, please post in Parts Classifieds ONLY.

4) Please do not bump your threads.
We will delete the "bump" posts and if the problem continues, we will issue warnings. If you desparately need an answer, use our Search Engine to address your question.

5) Please do not whore threads to increase your post count.

This isn't honda-tech, so posts only consisting of "+1", ".", or "werd" are not acceptable. If you agree to something someone said, that is great, but don't post unless you have something constructive to contribute. Smiley only posts also fall under this category. These posts will be deleted at a moderator's discretion in lieu of keeping threads tidy and easy to read.

6) Please take the time to read our [Terms Of Service].

The Terms of Service (or "TOS" in shorthand) lays out the basic conditions under which you are allowed to access the forum and participate here. The policies set forth in the TOS are the foundation of our community and will be enforced consistently, board-wide.

Footnote for #1,2,3:
Do not post duplicate threads in the model forums.

We will delete these duplicate threads and if the situation warrants,
warning points will be issued.

----------------

* LASTLY, THANK YOU! *
Lastly, I want to thank you for taking the time to read this, and also for continuing to be a part of the HAN community. :)

In our ongoing efforts to sharpen the technical focus of this forum, I greatly appreciate your help in improving the forum both as a community and as technical resource for Integra enthusiasts. :cheers:

A reminder to please stay on-topic in here...

While the overall rate of off-topic posts has improved drastically in the last year or two, the problem still comes up as new members come in.

So, if you're new around these parts, listen up. :)

When someone asks a question about a specific topic, answer the question asked or do not post in the thread at all.

Off-topic questions and responses are subject to deletion. If the problem continues, we will issue warning points.

PLEASE DO NOT derail existing threads.

If you have a question on another topic, use our search engine to see if the question has been covered. If it has not been discussed, open a new thread to ask it.

And if you want to chat about movies and what-not, do so in The Basement forum.

DO NOT DO IT HERE.

ATTN: Don't post your "motor swap" threads here!

We're being inundated with mis-directed threads on motor swaps, and I'm getting tired of moving them all.

I don't care if you've plonked a B18C into your EG.
I don't care if you're retrofitting a GSR motor into your LS.
I don't care if you're stuffing a 442 cid Olds V8 into your GSR.

Please direct ALL threads regarding motor swaps in the Engine Swaps, Tech, and Tuning Forum.
It exists solely for this reason.

Thank you for your cooperation. :)
