Default help!

can anyone tell me where i can get a catalytic converter? would it be easier to put it on yourself?? is it easy to put on?

there's countless internet site to pick up a cat from, and it's relatively simple to put on unless your exhaust is rusted together, but over all it's not real hard just make sure to replace the gaskets on each end and don't forget the o2 sensor... it's really easy, if it hadn't been for mine being rusted together it might have only taken me a grand total of an hour with the rust problem...

if it is a bolt on it is easy just bolt it on, if it needs to be welded take it to a exhaust shop

my cat isn't up to standards either and threw a p0402 or something similar meaning "cat lacking efficiency" . i just ordered one of the cheap cat/resonators from ebay to bolt on in place of it. $30 shipped & comes with bolts and gaskets

What year is your car? If in CA, make sure you get a cat that will meet or exceed your old oem cat's emission specs, and that usually means $$$ cats. This place has good pricing for cat exhausts-
