I've been on track days last Sunday and realised that my Integra doesn't really brakes and fades terrible with stock brakes comparing to other cars prepared for the track.

Due to this fact I'm considering upgrading brakes with Wilwood BigBrake Kit. I wonder if You have any opinions and experience about this kit.

Maybe other suggestions about different brake setup for track?

Well, there's other, simpler, and cheaper things you can do for the brakes:

Flush the fluid
Get new brake lines
Get new pads (HP or Axxis are good)
Get new rotors (Brembo blanks are good)

Drive smart to keep the brake temp down h:

 

Ahhh i hope you read this because I went ahead and purchased the 12.2 rotors, 4 piston calipers, braided lines, and some fantastic hardware. These brakes are a steal at 750 dollars and they never fade! thats right, i said never. Drilled and slotted rotors, two piece design, this is a beautiful kit and i have to say it is probably my favorite u/g. Ive been doing autox and the brakes are responsive, firm, and most of all they clamp down like you wouldnt believe. hope this helps with your decision. product is two thumbs up.

 

Thanks for advice. What size of rims You are using for this setup. I still have 15, so I wonder if 16 are big enough or shall I use 17?

 

It seems every time I'm looking for brake upgrade stuff, I can't find anything that'd fit on an acura.. can someone enlighten me as to where you're seeing this? Is there a compatibility trick (like "oh the brake set up for this car is the same." type thing?)

Also, you gotta buy 2 sets if you want bigger brakes all the way around, right? Nobody sells them as a set of 4 anywhere?
Can you just flip a set around for them to fit onto the back brakes?

 

Regarding searching for kits it's pretty simple, just go to Rotora, Wilwood, Brembo, AEM or other well known brands webpages and You will find kits or separate brake componenet for Integra.
In respect to the rear brakes upgrades You shall better just upgrade pads and it will be fine. Front brakes are the most important.

 

Word, but I'm anal about conformity, haha.
I'd want the rears upgraded as well for cosmetic reasons just as much as I would performance reasons.

That is the spot, also there are several fifteen inch rims that fit with the kit. The team dynamics pro race i know will fit. Also there is a balance kit with 10.9 inch rotors for the rear, new hardware and new braided lines for 225. The quality of the wilwood kit made me a believer as the results are impressive.

 

very few 16" wheels can fit over the willwood kit, and no 15s. Seeing that 17s are a bullplop wheel size for any purpose, I'd steer clear of the willwood kit.

I'd do: brake fluid upgrade, brake pad upgrade (Hawk HP+ and Axxis Ultimate are good choices), steel lines. If that doesn't tide you over, check out the fastbrakes.com packages... just as good or better quality than the willwood kit, cheaper, fits under 15s.
