Default My RPM is at 5 THOUSAND?

For a long time now, my acura integra 94 redlines at 5 thousand now. First it was at 7 thousand. I don't know how to fix this problem. At first, I put in the power chip I bought in ebay and plugged it in the AIT( Air Intake Temperature) plug and it was suppose to give me some horsepower. After putting the chip in I tested it, it turned out okay. Later, when i unplugged the chip and put back the stock one in...I notice that when I floored the car it redlines at 5 thousand. This happened a long time ago. I don't know how to fix it. I tried to reset the ecu in the engine box and I've tried to take out the battery wires for a long time...to see if it will reset...but no results...HELP???

This is exactly why people should do research. If you would have searched this forum here before buying that you would have known better. Everyone on this web board would have preached against ebay performance chips.

I've seen to many of these Ebay chip threads. Damn Newbs!

Have you tried reseting your ECU?

And yes, never buy those chips.

Thank you Captain Obvious. I think we've established that.
